All hung up

Who knew that clothes hangers would be just another way God teaches me a valuable lesson. You see, I moved into a new bedroom a couple weeks back, but quickly ran out of hangers in my closet. So clearly, the solution would be to buy more hangers, right? That was my natural instinct too. But then I thought to myself – wait, don’t buy them just yet. Wait and see.
Today, I was sorting through the giveaway clothing/items pile at YWAM Brisbane (a place where students can leave behind things they don’t need or want anymore). I was given a bag of hangers to help with the sorting. I finished the job but still have more than a dozen left over, quality hangers. When I went to return the hangers to where I thought they belonged, another staff member said the hangers were free for the taking. They’d once belonged to another missionary on base. She said I could have them. Exactly what I needed.
Seriously, it’s just hangers, I know! But how great is that? God is rewarding my patience. It’s a skill I’ve never been too good at, yet here He goes fulfilling my needs without me even trying or asking!
