Those two words make up a unique motto for my pastor's family. As he tells it, he believes any Christian can be a rock and just sit there, but we are called to rock on, do more. And perhaps if more of us started to truly live out Jesus' teachings we'd start experiencing that.
In a CNN article titled "More teens becoming 'fake' Christians" author Kenda Creasy Dean argues there needs to be more substance to the faith young people are learning about today. Instead, what many of them (us) are hearing is a feel-good, do-good type of Christianity, that doesn't do enough to get us to really get out there and live out our faith in a way that will really change the world, and in turn ourselves.
I must admit, that is one of the biggest changes I've noticed when reading the Bible with new eyes. It's full of little commands to get out there and help our fellow man. Yes, we will go to heaven if we accept Christ as our Lord and Saviour and repent of our sins. But, the better part is that we can start bringing about God's kingdom (heaven) NOW by living truly loving lives.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27 (NIV)
And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’ Matthew 25:40 (NLT)
