Those who call ourselves Christians have the same heart for God and it's really us, the believers, who make up the church. So I find it really interesting to see how our faith and focus are on display when we go to the place called church. And this Sunday I went to two services in my hometown – Oakville.
The early, 8am, service was at the 'mother' location of the church I attend in Ottawa. The production value there is very high; a massive theatre, a professional sounding worship team, video feeds and the live, in person pastor.
The second, 10am service was with my parents at their church. It's a small congregation that meets in a high school gym. Things are a bit more rag-tag, but there's also the chance to talk to just about everyone who's attending.
Each service offered something different in terms of how I 'experienced' church. But in both circumstances the love for God, and the love for one other was totally apparent. I find it a shame that within the same faith we have some many divisions, when really, we all believe and care about the same things.

In Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Romans 12:5 (NIV)
