Right now 100,000+ people in Brisbane are without power.
Hundreds are sitting in evacuation centres as their homes get engulfed by the Brisbane River.
And here I sit outside under a partly cloudy sky enjoying the sun and birds.
What an eery feeling.
The city is litterally divided. Not just by the floodwaters, but also by how differently this environmental crisis is affecting various neighbourhoods.
The YWAM Brisbane base is located in Mitchelton. It's on a hill and far enough away from the river.
We are blessed.

God is our refuge and strenght, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Pslam 46:1-3 (NIV)
