Dew drops and daylight

Red lanterns dot the streets in Miri, Malaysia
ahead of Chinese New Year
I was sitting on the rooftop of the hostel where I am staying in Miri, Malaysia enjoying the morning breeze, when I noticed the way some dew drops clung to the leaves of a nearby bamboo plant. It's interesting how small things like that take my breath away and get me to focus on God.
But it's also a great reminder of how I should always be thinking of God and praising Him for His goodness. Creation is in continual worship and I should be too! In Psalm 19, David writes how creation is expressing God's glory in every language, all over the world, all the time. That is so amazing! God made the ant, the Alps, the sunrise, the sunflower, the palm tree, the parrot and me just to express His creativity and glory.
So even though I'm now in a completely different part of the world, it's comforting to experience God's goodness and beauty in new ways.
****
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. Psalm 19:1-4 (NIV)
